MEET THE TEAM

Our programme delivery staff are all highly qualified and experienced teachers and instructors. Many are working within the New Zealand Secondary School System and are able to deliver the highest standards of expertise to their specialist curriculum area.

Our activity programmes are strictly safety managed in accordance with established educational guidelines and appropriate industry standards.

MARK TEMPLETON BA, LTCL, Dip Tchng.
Executive Director

Mark has degree in English Literature, Linguistics and Drama from the University of Canterbury, and teaching diplomas from both Trinity College, London (spoken communication and drama) and Christchurch College of Education (English and Outdoor Education). He has been the Executive Director of the Tititea Enterprises Trust since 1997. Prior to this appointment he has held teaching positions in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom teaching English, Drama, Outdoor Education and as a Learning and Behaviour specialist. In 1996 he spent the year as an intern in the USA working for Project Adventure, Inc, one of the worlds leading experiential education and training organisations.
As the director for the Trust, Mark’s key responsibilities include new business development, key client and agency relationships and programme design and delivery for all three market groups.

MURRAY RADKA
Dean of International Students

Murray has a Batchelor of Arts degree in English and History as well as a post graduate diploma in Guidance and Counselling and a teaching diploma.
He is married with four sons and has had thirty two years experience working with teenagers as a teacher and Guidance Counsellor. Eight years ago he took on the International Director of Fulltime Studies role at Dunstan High School which involves all aspects of Fulltime International Students' care from arranging homestays to supporting them in their new environment and helping them to achieve their goals. He and wife Noeleen have hosted students for eight years and have an extended family of Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Thai youngsters who call them mum and dad.

ERIC SCHUSSER
Head of Outdoor Education

Eric is currently Head of Outdoor Education at Dunstan High School in Alexandra where he has been teaching for the last 23 years. Eric is also a founding member of Project Adventure New Zealand and has close associations with Project Adventure USA - one of the world's premier experiential training companies.
Adventre education programmes Eric has developed are regarded as
amongst the best in New Zealand. He has worked extensively utilising intervention and prevention approaches with adolescents, developing exemplary peer mentoring and leadership training programmes for youth and has initiated highly regarded community development programmes in Wellington and Central Otago . He has experience facilitating and coaching a wide variety of populations from corporate to at risk, has been contracted as an adviser to the NZ Ministry of Education on outdoor education and risk management and has presented widely at conferences both nationally and internationally.
Eric's wide diversity of skills are reflected in his varied qualifications MA(Hons) German, BA(Linguistics), Diploma in Teaching, Diploma in Recreation and Sport and Advanced Diploma in Photography. Eric is also a qualified Ambulance Officer/EMT.

NOELEEN RADKA
Homestay Coordinator

Noeleen is a qualified teacher, has run her own business, raised four sons to adulthood and now works as our homestay coordinator. Noeleen is responsible for the day-to-day running of the homestay programme.
Noeleen and Murray have hosted international students since 1995. In that time they have hosted 10 long term and a number of short term students and have enjoyed this experience. She is looking forward to meeting students coming to Central Otago New Zealand and joining Tititea Learning Adventures programmes. She will help you settle in to your New Zealand Homestay and be a support to you and your host families while you are here.
