| Tititea Learning Adventures operates a
number of programmes designed to meet the needs of young people
in our communities. We work directly with groups of young
people on adventure-based learning programmes we design. We
also work with youth workers and agency staff to develop adventurous
approaches to their own early intervention work.
We collaborate with community groups who are
already working to support the young people most in need of
a helping hand, a new perspective or a change of approach.
We prioritise our assistance to the young people who would
benefit most from the additional support we can offer them
in learning and life.
LEARN, DISCOVER,
REMEMBER & VALUE POSITIVE QUALITIES
These programmes use adventure based learning activities,
goal setting processes and micro counseling skills to help
young people discover, remember and value their positive qualities,
abilities and opportunities.
We design programmes to help young people
take control over the aspects they can influence in their
lives, we promote healthy decision making processes and foster
self confidence and esteem in our young people and their families.
OUR MISSION
It is our mission to encourage young
people to resist alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse, to
avoid isolation from education and support institution and
to minimise the risks of developing behaviours which cause
harm to self or others.
We deliver these programmes to groups in our
own community by raising funds through our edu-tourism and
corporate events programmes. We currently work with education,
health and welfare agencies to meet critical demand in our
area and beyond.
We can design and deliver a programme to
help your organisation respond to an identified need in your
community.
These programmes can contain the following
components:
- Adventure Based Learning Activities
- Wilderness/Journey Approach
- Intensive Residential
- Youth/Peer Mentoring
- Adult Mentoring
- Key Agency Link Up
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Follow up programme
- Caregiver Involvement
